The tour of Heraklion takes you on an adventure through the city to discover the rich heritage of Venetian architecture and edifices including Koules Fortress which dominates the harbour, the stunning Venetian Loggia, and the Morosini Fountain, another masterpiece from the same creator as the Loggia and the Church of St.Titus.
Your experienced guide will then take you on to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion where you will discover one of the finest collections of Minoan art and culture in the world. Founded in 1883, the museum boasts more than 15,000 artefacts from all periods of Cretan prehistory and history including Greek and Roman eras.
