DELOS – SACRED ISLAND & APOLLO SANCTUARY
Delos – the mythological birthplace of the Greek sun god, Apollo, and his twin sister, Artemis – is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in all of Greece.
Nestled amongst the alluring Cyclades Islands, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is a short boat ride from Mykonos and is home to a bevvy of sacred temples, agodas, stoas and an ancient harbour.
This journey to the ancient past takes you along the Sacred Way to the Sanctuary of Apollo. Shrouded in mystery and intrigue, your guide will unravel centuries of history and sweep you away with magical tales of how “light was born”.
In addition, you will also have free time to explore the Delos independently and browse the wealth of artisanal stores, quirky cafes and Greek tavernas around the commercial harbour.
