The iconic Sultan Ahmed Mosque (known the world over as the Blue Mosque) is one of the finest treasures of Istanbul. The functioning mosque was constructed during the rule of Ahmed I and features stunning hand-painted blue tiles in its ornately decorated interior.
After visiting the Blue Mosque, we continue to Hagia Sophia. The enduring Ottoman and Byzantium symbol of architectural beauty was once the Byzantine Church of the Holy Wisdom of God. It later became a mosque and is now a museum.

Explore The Sunken Palace
No secret is more hidden than the Cistern of Philoxenos (Sunken Palace). The unique man-made subterranean reservoir is located between the Forum of Constantine and the Hippodrome of Constantinople, in the city’s Sultanahmet district.
The extravagant underground structure was constructed in 535AD and features 338 marble Doric, Ionian and Corinthian columns, some measuring 30ft. The vast chamber is also adorned with carved column bases that are decorated with the venomous snake-haired head of the mythological Medusa.
